Mr. Arnold was a member of the founding team of Sierra Monitor Corporation in 1979. He became President in 1984 and was subsequently appointed Chief Executive Officer, Secretary and Chief Financial Officer. Mr. Arnold has been a director since 1984 and is Chairman of the Board. He holds a BS in Business Administration from San Jose State College. Mr. Arnold has extensive sales management experience including structuring of domestic channels and international sales in Latin America and Asia.
Prior to joining Sierra Monitor, Mr. Arnold held various supervisory and management positions in semiconductor and electronics firms with responsibilities related to quality control, production management and manufacturing logistics. He has participated in the management of numerous electronic product design teams including the development of mil-spec level instruments and microprocessor based gas detection systems.
Mr. Arnold currently serves as the Chairman of the Measurement Control and Automation Association.
Mr. Kramlich was a founding venture investor and has been an outside director of Sierra Monitor Corporation since February 1980. Mr. Kramlich founded New Enterprise Associates, one of the nation's premier venture capital companies where he has been the Managing General Partner since 1978. He is also a director of Zhone Technologies and of several private companies including Xoom Corporation, Tabula Inc., Nexthop Technologies, Inc., Informative, Force 10, Visual Edge, Financial Engines, Celetron, Fabric7 Systems and Foveon.
Mr. Last became an outside director of Sierra Monitor Corporation in 1989. Between 1977 and 1989 he was a director of UMF systems the public company which was merged with Sierra Monitor Corporation. Mr. Last was one of the eight founders of Fairchild Semiconductor the company which brought the integrated circuit revolution to the world. He was also a senior executive with Teledyne Corporation providing technical management of that company's acquisition strategy. Mr. Last is the currently President of Hillcrest Press, a publishing company, and has been a business and technical consultant to numerous private companies.
Mr. Marshall became an outside director of Sierra Monitor Corporation in May 1998. He has been the principal Selby Venture Partners, a venture capital firm, since October 1997. Mr. Marshall was President and CEO of Infogear Technology from April 1996 to October 1997. Prior to April 1996 Mr. Marshall held senior executive management positions with Tandem Computers for more than 20 years. He is also a director of Bay Microsystems, Inc, Fabric7 Systems, Onsite Systems, Quick Silver and Triformix.
